It's been a busy and exciting time at our Clapham clinic! From our team's personal fitness challenges to exciting networking opportunities and insightful patient cases, there's always something new and inspiring happening. Here’s a look at what we've been up to:

Key Takeaways:

What’s Happening at the Clapham Clinic?

Clinic Tours & High-Performance Care

ree

It's been a busy period of networking and high-performance care here at the Clapham clinic. We recently had the pleasure of welcoming two consultants to tour our facility, strengthening our professional connections to ensure comprehensive patient care. On the treatment floor, one of our clinicians is currently working closely with a client who is just five weeks away from competing in the Half Ironman World Championships. It is a true privilege to be part of an athlete's journey to a world-class event.

Industry Trends & Local Insights

London Hyrox Preparation & Physio Tasters

ree

We are always attuned to the fitness trends in our local community, and we've recently noticed a significant increase in patients seeking support while training for the upcoming London Hyrox event in December. Observing this surge in popularity, our clinician Des suggested a great initiative for our team to volunteer at the event and offer physio tasters. We believe this would be a fantastic way to engage with and support the local athletic community on the ground.

More 15-Minute Consultations

ree

This past month, we have seen a lower volume of new patient referrals. To help more people access our services and understand how we can help them achieve their goals, our clinicians are keen to dedicate more time to offering free 15-minute consultations. Following valuable patient feedback, we are now looking to temporarily add this service to our online booking system to make it even easier for potential clients to book a time to speak with us.

Case Study

Proximal Femur Bone Stress Injury

ree

We recently managed a complex case involving a 30-year-old female patient, who is a very active CrossFit athlete and runner. She presented with a sharp 7/10 pain in her left hip, which began after a weekend with a very high step count and was severely aggravated during a high-rep squat session. The pain made walking and daily activities extremely difficult. Our objective assessment, which revealed an inability to bear weight and pain on specific tests like the single-leg hop, led to a working diagnosis of a proximal femur bone stress injury. We referred her to a consultant, where imaging confirmed a femoral neck stress fracture and a labral tear. This case was a valuable reminder that serious bone stress injuries can occur even in athletes without the classic risk factors, highlighting the crucial role of a thorough objective assessment in reaching an accurate diagnosis.

Team & Personal News

Robbie’s Upcoming Athletic Challenges

We're incredibly proud of our clinician, Robbie, who has some major athletic challenges on the horizon. He has officially signed on to join the Third Space Half Iron-Man team and will be competing in May '26. As if that wasn't enough, he is also deep in training for Hyrox Stockholm this December and a half marathon. We are all behind him and wish him the very best of luck with his training and competitions!

Reading your “Ultra Sports Clapham Latest October” post brought back memories of my own late-night struggles while working on my dissertation. Much like maintaining balance during intensive training, writing required endurance and focus but clarity was something I had to refine over time. That’s when I turned to a dissertation editing service UK, which helped me refine my arguments and polish my structure without losing my original voice. It felt like having a skilled coach guide me toward my best academic form.
