Meet Parys Edwards, one of our Senior Physiotherapists.

Updated: Feb 10, 2019

As part of the launch of our new clinic, we are profiling some of our key practitioners. Find out what they do behind the scenes.

What role do you do?

I am a Senior Physiotherapist at Ultra Sports Clinic in the city of London.

What inspired you to become a Physio?

Since I was a kid I've been mad about sport and I am fascinated by the human body and how it works- this job combines both perfectly!!

Goals achieved?

I've worked with athletes at the London Olympics in 2012 which was awesome and I worked as Physio to the England U19 women's football team for 5 years - a role I loved!

My most interesting job however was working in A&E for 4 years- you simply saw anything and everything!!

What’s your favourite exercise?

Running- I put the world to rights when I'm running!

Drink of the month?

Coffee!! I'm addicted. I drink it black and it has to be good coffee- I don't do instant!!!

Last Book?

Last book I read was 'The world of cycling according to G' - Gerraint Thomas's auto-biog.

A funny and a must read for anyone who follows cycling.

My favourite sport?

I've been racing triathlons professionally for the last 4 years. I only wished I found this sport sooner... I am mad about it!!!

A close second is rock climbing which is super challenging and a great de-stressor but it's taken a backseat the last few years.

Top snack?

Peanut butter on gluten-free toast hmmmm

Something you don't know about me?

I'm an identical twin. What many people don't know is that we played hockey against each other for different countries when we were 21!!!
