Dry Needling & Acupunture

What is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is another form of soft tissue treatment that is a useful adjunct to your manual therapy. Acupuncture and dry needling techniques are similar. Dry needling targets trigger points that are a direct source of pain and aims to restore pain-free, normal movement.

Dry Needling & Acupuncture

The positive effects of dry needling & acupuncture may include decreased pain, increased flexibility and mobility. It can also assist in the relief of associated nerve symptoms such as pins and needles, numbness and headaches.

Both forms of treatment are often used as a form of trigger point therapy and are an effective way of alleviating soft tissue tension in the presence of sensitivity. At Ultra Sports Clinic, dry needling and acupuncture are used in conjunction with a range of other hands-on treatments to better facilitate your recovery.
