Marathon season is fast approaching and if you’re participating this year your training will be well under way. In preparation for the big day, here’s a few things to look out for.
Stick with the old. It’s so tempting to want to go out and get those brand new running shoes just for the marathon occasion but try and avoid this trap. Chances are new shoes, however fancy, will just end up giving you problems on the day. If you are wearing new kit, make sure it’s pre-washed, and cut out those labels to avoid any chafing or rubbing. Also note that any clothing left on the side of the road is collected for charity, so take that old tracky top.
